Toy Parrish
Toy Parrish was born in Richmond, VA and graduated from Henrico High School in 2008. While she attended high school, she was enrolled in the Center of the Arts’ Dance Program and played the trumpet in the marching band as well. Toy decided to attend Norfolk State University, where she was a part of the Spartan Legion and joined the Gamma Nu chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho in spring 2010. Ms. Parrish graduated in 2013 with a B.A in Early Childhood Education from Norfolk State University then graduated with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Regent University. She will receive her Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction in August 2020. She has been accepted to the doctoral program where she will begin her dissertation in Fall 2021. Ms. Parrish has been in education for seven years. She has taught in Hampton City, Henrico County, and Newport News Public Schools.
